I can't say, I'm going back to the graphic novels/comics world, 

as I've never really been that much into it before. 

I bought the classic "infinity gauntlet" last week 

since I never got to finish reading it 

way back in high school dahil walang budget pangbili... 

heheh so ngayn... naaddict na ko...

 and anything with combined forces of superheroes... 

the more, the merrier...

i just bought the absolute "kingdom come" and "watchmen"...

today is my creator's

and co-creator's

wedding anniversary...
Normally, me and my family would be out to celebrate
this unison for if not for it, i wouldn't be frolicking
in this crazy odd world.

this night started with a feeling of depression. then an sms...
that went something like...
"i'm starting to get bored of this singapore life,
tonight, i need to be celebratin'...
and go bakin' and shakin' "

and then things started to fall
on the right place and on the right time.

the doodles on the walls invited me in...

a snugly green sofa and a homey ambiance
welcomed me in...

a one for one corona beer
[i know it's not smb light, but if it's cheap, it can be good]
with a slice of luscious lemon lingering on it's mouth
brought me a feeling reminiscent of my first kiss.

add a dj on the side, armed [as quoted by karla] with one of the best
vinyl record collections in town - funk, soul, jazz, and the like...
infused with electro, drum and bass, and house
...

...i think i reached my orgasm. heheh

the fact that there were not much people in this place
and that almost everything here screams "maskotero",
i dub thy place, my territory.

No place for shy maskotero here,
a quick flick of a finger, a he changes into his hellbaby costume.





i think i'm starting to feel the "shake",

so much for my costume, i need some air...

i'm in search for a spot i can dub thee
as my own scribble scrabble sanctuary.
somewhere i can sit and succumb, serene enough
to stimulate stylish skillful sketching sensations
and subsequently put a stop
to this "maskotero block" situation... the soonest.

this picture was taken a few "i-can't-remember" years back.
But as far as i can remember, this was where maskotero was conceived...
the first time i doodled maskotero in a wall... it's at a gallery in glorieta 4,
some students were having their exhibit...
i tried stealing the spotlight from them but failed. heheh

first attempt: remastering maskotero...

maskotero is back after what seem to be an unending hiatus.
To get things started, I installed my old wacom tablet to my mac
so i can get back to working on recreating maskotero...
my girlfriend saw me and wanted to try it out.
Then she said, let's try a challenge, ill sketch something,
then doodle away to create something i'll like.
I thought it was interesting so i said, "GO"...

here was what came out...
she liked it... of course, it's a panda!
i was trying out a couple of things here,
mainly, getting the wacom touch back.
Also, trying the back lit glow lighting thingie,
+ textures + coloring + brush tips.
waahhhh... this will take a while.

i injured my finger setting up the wooden planks for this shoot...
so i have all the right to be emo...

this was taken in one of my photoshoots.
the photographer and i were doing test shots
to check the lights and the angle.
sadly, i'm not allowed to post here the final picture
taken with the real model.
just a taste of what i do at work...
...maybe i should do more of these...
the photoshoot preparations, not the modelling!

anyway, aside from the wounded finger,
i've been suffering with neck and shoulder pains
on and off for the past two weeks...
it might be my working posture,
it might be my new matress,
it might be the ghost from "shutter"
hanging on my shoulder...

it's summer time
and i'm nowhere near a beach!

i miss pinas and all it's 7,107 islands.
thousands of islands mean thousands of beaches to enjoy.
just like the picture below, which was taken in boracay,
a few years back.

and what made it more fun was aside from this was my first time in boracay,
it was a free trip for two awarded to me by clickthecity.com for winning
first prize in their Sun, Sand and Snapshots 2007 contest.
I just realized, this image shows two more of the things i miss so much.

i had a dream last night.
A green one.
In my dream, i woke up in a green room.
So refreshing...soul-rejuvenating.
And then I woke up...
[again, this time, it's the real thing]
and saw my room back in red. In the next few days
[or when i get a better digicamera],
i'll try to upload the pics of my 3rd gen room.

but was still under progress. Sadly, I didn't get
to document the original look of the room. So no first gen room pics.. :(
